As you know Friendship Circle has been a huge part of Elliott's life the past few years. This year's walk theme is "Brighter Together" and I can't think of a truer statement. Being the parent of a special needs child is a wonderful gift, but it's not something any family can do without support. We are so lucky to have you and our community, but not everyone is as lucky. Your support helps other children like Elliott, and other families like ours enjoy much needed community and respite and vocational programs and much more. Friendship Circle never turns families away for not being able to pay, so we are proud to help support their endless commitment to inclusion.
This summer Elliott attended overnight camp again. For the past two years they did something special just for us and let Mike come along and give Elliott the help he needed. The only tears at camp were when it was time to leave. I know he thought about overnight camp all year and will look forward to it until next time.
Last year we raised $4500, $1200 of which came from Gracie's treat stand! Enough to send 5 kids to overnight camp for one week. This year we would like to raise $5400, enough to send 6 kids to camp. In addition, if we hit this goal, as a thank you, Friendship Circle will give our family 35% off all of our programs next year.
Please consider donating through the link below. Our team name, Elliott's Smart Cookies, is in honor of our favorite little Cookie Monster and all the joy he brings.
Please let me know if you prefer to send check or cash so we can make sure our team gets the credit!
