We are inviting you to join our team for this year’s Walk4Friendship, and to support Friendship Circle in their incredible mission. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Friendship Circle and the 19th Walk4Friendship, making it a particularly special milestone for us all.
Our daughter Leila wakes up every day excited for camp and all the activities at Friendship Circle. She absolutely loves being part of Friendship Circle’s year-long programs and summer camp. Her experiences have been transformative, and her joy is contagious. Leila has had the opportunity to go on so many new adventures through Teen Trips with Friendship Circle this year, each one more exciting than the last.
One heartwarming story we’d love to share is about how Leila’s presence and spirit have inspired others. During her MLK, Jr. camp, Leila had an amazing volunteer work with her. A few months later, Hayley (Leila’s mom) was recognized and the volunteer shared how their experience with Leila motivated them to join their school’s program working with children with special needs. Leila inspires everyone she meets, and her impact is truly remarkable.
This summer, please join us in supporting Friendship Circle by participating in Walk4Friendship on Sunday, September 1st. You can walk with us, donate to our fundraising page to help Friendship Circle reach their $1 million goal, or simply cheer us on as we walk for Leila and all the incredible kids like her.
