My family has a long and heartfelt history with Friendship Circle. My mom was the first official employee back in 1997, holding various roles at both Friendship Circle and Friendship House until 2015. My father dedicated nine years to the Daniel Sobel Friendship House as the Recovery Rabbi. Growing up, I had the privilege of witnessing Friendship Circle work miracles for thousands of families in our community!
I’m also a proud member of the Friendship Circle family. For many years, I’ve been involved in Friendship Circle programs like Efshar Circle and Sunday Circle. The summer months can be challenging without regular programs, but I still got to spend time at my favorite place in the world - overnight camp! At camp, I went swimming, boated, played games, and most importantly, spent time with my friends. That’s what I love most about Friendship Circle—the friendships I’ve made!
Knowing how important Friendship Circle has been in my life and to my family, I’m committed to raising $5,400 for Walk4Friendship, Friendship Circle’s annual fundraising walk. I’ve participated in the Walk every year since I was born, and each year feels more meaningful as I grow and continue to celebrate this special event with my friends and family. This year, I’m walking in honor of my parents, whose birthdays fall very close to the week of the Walk. I’m so proud to be their daughter and to continue our family’s legacy with Friendship Circle.
Friendship Circle is more than just an organization with programs; it’s a community of love, inclusion, and friendship where I am celebrated and given every opportunity to shine. I hope you’ll join me in giving back to this incredible organization that has given so much to my family.
